The Design Process
The very first part of the design process is the header. The header is the very first thing people will notice when viewing your blog, it therefore needs to have the look and feel you want your readers to get from your blog as well as convey vital information such as title, tag line and topic. It is imperative that you do your best to provide me with these so I can try and illustrate what your mind's eye sees. In order to create a certain understanding between us, before I begin the actual illustration work, we will discuss your blog purpose. Is it your personal journal and therefore should be centered on your likes? Or, does your blog have a central theme like fashion? Does your blog have a specific purpose (sell, provide information)? Does your blog contain a lot of information? Do you need specific room for certain elements like ads? Do you wish to have smaller images to accentuate specific areas of your blog (icons)?
This is basically where I like to be told what you NEED in order achieve your blog's purpose. Of course, you might not always know what's best but that is why I am here. Through your various answers I will be able to provide you with my ideas and advice.
Depending on the answers a series of more intricate questions will follow such as favorite colors, styles, character design (hair color, clothes...), specific and detailed information about your blog topic, your preferences in fonts. From your answers, I will come up with several ideas that I will describe to you in an email.
What I am known for is to come up with different scenarios or scenes (a character doing something) that demonstrate your blog's central theme thus the header becomes more than just a pretty picture, it has purpose by showing your readers what you write about.
Now, I begin the actual drawing work. Usually within the next 24-48 hours (depending on the complexity of the idea and my schedule), I will be able to provide you with a watermarked draft of your header for you to peruse and note if there are any slight modifications you'd like.
After the header has been approved by you, I will create a test blog for you to view the layout and how everything fits together. This process is usually completed by the next day. Once you've approved the whole layout we can then proceed to the payment which is done through an email invoice via Paypal services. Once the payment as cleared through them we can proceed to the installation of the template on your blogger account. Installation is a service I offer for free in order to make the transaction from old to new design smooth and effortless.
In Summary, here's what will happen if you wish to have a custom Blogger template designed by me.
1. Contact me and provide me with your basic idea of what you would like
(theme, colors, and anything specific you think I should know).
2. I will then send you a date for when I can begin work on your design,
a series of more detailed questions and a link to my detailed price list.
*Please be available to check your emails daily during the designing process.
3. I will provide you with a selection of ideas for you to choose or discuss.
4. The drawing of the header begins
5. A revision of the header. (if needed)
6. The creation of the layout, icons and dividers.
7. A revision of the layout, icons and dividers. (if needed)
8. Payment process.
9. Installation.
